Accessibility Statement

Our commitment

Ashburn Consulting is committed to ensuring that its website and digital content are accessible to all users, including individuals with disabilities. We design and maintain this site to meet or exceed the requirements of Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, as amended (29 U.S.C. § 794d).

As a federal IT contractor serving government clients, we hold ourselves to the same accessibility standards we help our clients achieve.

Standards we follow

We target WCAG 2.1 Level AA conformance, which means our content is designed to be perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust for the broadest range of users and assistive technologies.

What we do to stay accessible

  • Use semantic HTML structure and proper heading hierarchy so screen readers can navigate content logically.
  • Provide text alternatives for all non-text content, including images, charts, and infographics.
  • Ensure sufficient color contrast ratios throughout the site (minimum 4.5:1 for normal text).
  • Design all interactive elements — forms, buttons, navigation — to be operable by keyboard alone.
  • Ensure that PDFs, Word documents, and other downloadable files are formatted for accessibility.
  • Periodically review and test the site using automated tools and manual testing methods.

Report an accessibility issue

If you experience difficulty accessing any content on this website, we want to hear from you. Please contact us and include: the URL of the page where you encountered the issue, a description of the specific barrier or difficulty, and the assistive technology or browser you are using (if known). We will work to address the issue promptly.
